There is more than one way to tell a story…
If you haven’t done so already, click here to read the first part of the story!
In the last post, I shared my friend Marc Rosenblum’s story. Why he is running his 7th Boston Marathon as part of the Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge. I created a short 2 min video that in a matter of hours, had organically reached thousands of people.
The video was from Marc’s perspective… sharing his purpose, his cause, his passion, and how the funds raised will be utilized.
I could feel there was something more!
I am excited to have shared Marc’s story in such a powerful way, but I could feel there was something more! Something more I can do…. a different story to be told… I could feel it as we chatted back and forth watching the video’s reach rapidly grow. This is bigger than both of us… bigger than we ever could have imagined.
Marc has changed my life no doubt!
He is a friend who is always there for me… full of love, support, and encouragement when I need it the most! I am always happy to help where I can to support a good friend… but my heart kept telling me there is something more… there’s another story that needs to be told… something that tells the story from a different perspective.
Why am I encouraging you to contribute to the Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge?
Why support Marc while he runs his 7th Boston Marathon… running for a world free of cancer?
That’s when it hit me!
April 15th is not just the day that our taxes are due…
April 15th isn’t just the day Marc is running the Boston Marathon…
April 15th means something to me and I need to tell MY STORY!
How have I have been affected by cancer?
I wanted to share part of my story with you as I too have lost someone I love to cancer.
December of 2016, I lost my good friend Nancy. She was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer and in a matter of weeks, she lost the fight. In the end, she saw that her time had come… her life was full and blessed but she was ready to part with it for a better home in heaven.
If we lived in a world free of cancer then on April 15th, 2019 “Ms. Nancy” would have celebrated her 65th birthday! I only hope that when my time comes, I will be able to be as brave as “Ms. Nancy.”
I want Marc to run for my cause as well!
Run Marc, Run!
Happy Birthday, Nancy! Even though you’re gone, you are still in my heart!
Here we are just days away from the April 15th with just over $2505 left to go to hit the $20k goal. I believe we can make it!
If you have been touched by cancer and would like to contribute to the cause please donate if you can and we need your help to spread the word!
There is a story inside all of us.
Every story is unique but there is a common thread between them.
When you have the courage to share your story it will resonate with someone… someone special… someone who appreciates the courage it takes and someone who can relate.
You have a special story that needs to be told!
Your story matters!
Simply listen to your heart… the story is there!
Sometimes you might need a little help finding it.
If you need help finding your story, I would love to connect! Send me a message and we can schedule a time to connect. I would love to get to know you more.
